A bronze helmet of the Illyrian type — the form worn in the western Balkans from the 7th to the 4th century BC: a rounded bowl with two ridges along the crown, cheek-pieces protecting the face and an open face without a nose-guard.
The model is not a copy of a specific find: it was made from photographs of one helmet of this type and serves as an illustration and a basis for a replica. Its height was set to 255 mm, after the 3D scan of a real helmet of the same type from Nikšić; at that height the model is narrower (width-to-length ratio 0.64 against 0.83), so it is not presented as a copy of it.
Measured on the model: average sheet thickness 2.9 mm, volume 316 cm³, surface 2,202 cm². Four helmets (110, 150, 200 and 255 mm) and eight stands were prepared for 3D printing.
