Digitizing Cultural Heritage

The collection you are viewing was created through the 3D KULT project, delivered for the Tourism Organization of Ulcinj.

The 3D KULT project sets out to valorize the cultural heritage of the Old Town of Ulcinj through 3D digitization and the creation of digital twins of its most significant artifacts and architectural elements.

Using modern 3D scanning, modeling and printing technologies, authentic elements of the cultural heritage will be permanently preserved, processed and presented to the public in both digital and physical form.

The digitization process follows EU guidelines (Recommendation (EU) 2021/1970, VIGIE 2020/654, Europeana, Twin it!), contributing to the integration of local heritage into the wider European framework of digital cultural heritage.

The project “3D KULT – 3D digitisation and digital twins of cultural heritage” is carried out with the support of the Tourism Organisation of the Municipality of Ulcinj, under the Public Call for the allocation of funds for projects valorising cultural heritage — archaeological research, conservation and restoration works, reconstruction and promotion of cultural assets in the Municipality of Ulcinj, no. 01-1713/25 of 7 October 2025. The funds come from the tourist tax.
